Frequently asked questions regarding the PS-525 and PS-525A testers:
Can the battery-powered unit be operated while plugged in to the charger?
Yes. You can operate the unit while charging the batteries, or even if the batteries are already charged.
How long will the unit operate on one charge?
Typically in excess of 12 hours of continuous use. We once tested a unit with new batteries at full charge and they lasted over 18 hours.
What are the most typical errors of new operators of this item?
1. Not fully seating the quick-connectors until they click tight.
2. Getting used to separate pumps for vacuum and pressure, instead of a selector valve as is used on some types of testers.
What is the calibration interval?
The factory recommended interval is one year.
Is the display clearly readable in direct sunlight?
Yes!
Frequently asked questions regarding the ALT-621 and ASP-621 instruments:
Can this work on a battery pack?
Yes. But we do not sell battery packs. You will need to select one from one of the many electronic parts suppliers. Choose one that will fit inside your test box. Due to the many versions of testers we cannot stock all the possible combinations. If you would do us a favor and send us documentation of your configuration we will make the information freely available to others. Use a 12 volt battery pack, or two 6 volt packs in series.
Is a power supply included in the purchase?
Yes. A 110 volt AC to 12 Volt DC adapter is included. 220 volt AC adapters are also available at no additional charge.
